I
was born in Savannah, Georgia and I received
a BS degree
at Middle
Tennessee
State
University. Savannah has been a gift
of poetry from the 'muse gods' with intriguing history; world
respected writer, Johnny Mercer, made his home here; lore, the
"Waving Girl," immortalized in a statue, waiting for her love to
sail back home, Victorian Architecture, and mystery, enhanced in the book
of fiction, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” by John
Berendt.
I've lived the life of a poet, and
songwriter, the bohemian I suppose. I’ve
written
lyrics, songs, and poems for over 35 years. Influences
include Jack
Kerouac, Ernest
Hemingway, Bob Dylan, Dylan
Thomas, Lawrence
Durrell, Virginia
Wolf, and Sylvia
Plath.
I have been published
in UselessKnowledge and Authors Den. I have written about my own passages
through life in "One Man's Journey", which contains
expressions of over thirty years of being a friend, companion, and
observer in pursuit of my dreams. This poetry book comprises a view
of
Americana
straight from the heart and soul in my journey as an American
author.
I believe in changing
people's lives one person at a time. I
am happily
married to my lovely wife, Juanita.
