No Gluing & Screwing, None of Martha's Doing!

by Maren J. Corner

Bold Strokes on Canvas – from Chapter 4:

In a nutshell:
Create a colorful artwork – in a direct and immediate way. Apply paint on canvas using primary colors or color combinations of your choice.

It’s playful, potent and fun to make; not to be taken too seriously, but impossible to ignore.

Color yourself creative with this picture perfect motif based on the “great masters”, for just a few dollars. An afternoon stroll through an art gallery brought enthusiastic “oohs” and a mischievous smile to my face. I must admit one painting in particular, splattered and energized with jolts of brilliant colors and abstract in nature, grabbed my attention. This would make a splendid centerpiece for my humdrum wall. So versatile, it would compliment any room. I loved it!

I let my inspiration soar and recreated a “contemporary masterpiece” reminiscent of Jackson Pollock. You will be amazed at how much fun and how easy it is to make. No special tools or techniques are needed to turn colorful swirls into a work of art; simply follow the easy how to steps. You can be sure your friends will be impressed by your style and wit!

Use ready-made posterboard, a large piece of drywall, an old door or you may want to enliven a bedroom floor or paint a chair with this technique.

Let your imagination run wild. Enthusiasts – read on!
