Canadian Writer  Terry & Dianne Bohaichuk

Terry and Dianne ~ authors of 'Your Life'Though being Entrepreneurs wasn’t one of our original life goals, it quickly became one when we realized there was a void in the market for a journal/diary that served as a goal setter which could be updated and changed throughout your life.

We got the idea for this book when my husband and I got married last year. One of the things we talked about before we got married was what our goals and dreams where.  I had written on a piece of paper my 101 life goals and Terry wanted to do the same. After looking around at various bookstores and gift shops we realized there weren’t any books geared for doing this. We saw many books telling you to write down your goals; but no books actually to write them in.  That is how this “first of its kind” book was born!

My personal experience is after I write down one of my goals; it is always there in my subconscious mind in my day-today life. The feeling I get when I complete one more of my goals, is an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and personal growth follows. I’ve been doing this since attending a personal enhancement seminar in 1996. I had written down 101 life goals and of these I have accomplished 40 to date.

The underlying message is “why wait” so lets get started. Firstly, you will need to sit down and think about all of the things that you have always wanted. Use your imagination and let your dreams take you where they want to go. During this process you will have to keep in mind that you will need a PURPOSE (goal), then an ACTION STRATEGY (how to achieve this purpose), then record your ACCOMPLISHMENT (congratulations!).

You may spend one afternoon writing all your 101 goals and dreams, or this may take you a year or a lifetime to complete. You may want to leave a few goals open to add in the future. Do what works for you. By looking back on your journal of completed lifetime achievements you will have a greater sense of confidence in your ability to complete future achievements! Everyone has dreams and goals throughout their life; there are no age restrictions. The only thing that changes are the goals and dreams as you go through the different stages in your life.  Remember this is your life; enjoy the journey!
