T.C. McMullen

The written word and worlds they can create fascinated T.C. McMullen early on.  She also held a deep interest and appreciation for everyday details and the study of people.  Why do people do what they do and react the way they do to outside and inside forces?  What exactly does the hush of the wind sound like and do to the world beneath a canopy of leaves?  These interests meshed together with study when T.C. enrolled in a course from Long Ridge Writers Group during the early 1990’s. A stay at home mom with an old electric typewriter, T.C. finished her course, began a novel, and pursued the further self-study of the writing craft. She reached the goal of publication with her first computer and first novel, a psychological thriller, in late 2002.   Less than a year later, T.C.’s work caught the attention of several authors wanting to create a new kind of publisher that worked with authors. She found placement as both Senior Editor and Artistic Development Editor at Global Authors Publications.  While there, she learned much about publishing from interior book designing to marketing. I n early 2004, she resigned from her positions at Global Authors Publications to create her own publishing venture. Open Reign Publishing is a publisher of the darker genres which strives for excellence in product and services. She also works in editing and design for Jada Press and Star Publish, and recently joined the staff of Crimson Dagger mystery magazine as Senior Editor. Currently, she is working on her fifth novel, Scorching Eden: Book Three in the Manipulated Evil Series trilogy, slated for publication September 2005.   tcmcauthor@hotmail.com
